It is sad that this family is being persecuted for their faith and belief. I am reminded what the Word of God says about this starting with Matthew 24:9, when Jesus said: “Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers. Jesus also warns us again in Matthew 5:11 when he says: “God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. But what is so comforting is his promises to all who belong to him as he stated in Matthew 5:12, Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way. And again in Matthew 5:10 God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. So as we can see, God has warned us through his Holy Word that we as followers would be persecuted for our faith and belief
